Candidate: Michael Cole
At the time of competing in 2019, Michael Cole was Head Chef at Georgie Bass Café & Cooking School and Flinders Hotel Conference & Events on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
During the previous 10 years he held senior chef positions in kitchens around the world, from Niseko, Japan to Nice, France, and more recently in Tasmania, Mt Buller and now Flinders.
In December 2019 Michael and his wife Alex opened their own restaurant, Moke, on the Mornington Peninsula.
Commis: Laura Skvor
Cole’s commis chef Laura Skvor began her culinary journey as a finalist on the hit TV show My Kitchen Rules in 2016.
She went on to graduate from Chisholm Institute, and was awarded ‘Best Commis’ at the 2018 Bocuse d’Or Asia Pacific.
After competing in Lyon in 2019 Laura travelled and worked around Europe and she is now gaining more experience working in England.
