USA won for the first time in 2017, with Mathew Peters and his commis Harrison Turone taking home the golden statue of M. Paul Bocuse.
The Australian team had its best ever result that year, with Dan Arnold and his commis Ryan Cosentino ranking 8th out of 24 competing countries. Australia was also awarded the prize for best promotional campaign.
